Rock My South Africa, Eswatini & Mozambique Adventure

Do you love being surrounded by nature, beautiful landscapes, live music, being by the ocean, incredible wildlife, going on adventures and meeting local people? Then the Rock My South Africa, Eswatini & Mozambique Adventure is the trip for you!

From hipster Johannesburg, to the wilds of Kruger, from the rolling hills of Eswatini (formerlly Swaziland) to the whale sharks and stunning beaches of Mozambique – this  trip has it all!

Starting off in Johannesburg, South Africa, we’ll explore the city on a full day tour.

We’ll visit Nelson Mandela’s former home, Soweto, and learn all about the uprisings and the resistance against the Apartheid regime whilst getting a unique insight into Soweto life.

There’ll also be some time to explore our hip and trendy neighbourhood before we head to the world-famous Kruger National Park where we’ll go on safari to look for the Big 5 and go on a sunset game drive.

Kruger is one of the world’s best safari destinations and you have a good chance of seeing lions, leopards and other predators, as well as elephants, giraffes and the rest of the cast of the Lion King!

Whilst in the area, we’ll drive the Panorama Route, visiting God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, the Three Rondavels and Blyde River Canyon.

From there, we’ll travel into the Kingdom of Eswatini, formally known as Swaziland.

Here, we’ll spend a few days immersed in nature where you’ll have the opportunity to learn all about the unique and interesting Swazi culture and explore your adventurous side!

There are also plenty of activities on offer to keep you occupied, such as hiking, horse riding, zip-lining and white water rafting, to name just a few!

The last country on our adventure is magical Mozambique, starting in the exciting capital Maputo, before moving up to Tofo, a beautiful and chilled out beach town with beautiful beaches and lots of exciting activities on offer – including swimming with humpback whales, whale sharks, manta rays and dolphins!

Then it’s back to Maputo, for a celebratory meal and final night together.

Come with us on the adventure of a lifetime!

“I just wanted to say thank you for the amazing trip. It was a dream come true for me! I felt it was very well organised, taking in all the highlights and I loved the pace. There was always something amazing to look forward to every day. A never-ending stream of breathtaking experiences. I thought the balance between nature and culture, action and rest days was really well judged. I enjoyed watching the landscape change from the dry veldt to the tropical palm-fringed beaches. For me, the highlights were the game drives in Kruger. We saw the big five and also a pack of 18 wild dogs 5 meters from the road. I loved everything about Swaziland, especially my long walks in Mlilwane, my encounters with huge crocs and the cultural dancing as well as the visit to the medicine man’s hut. Mozambique was great too with its huge expanse of deserted beaches and I loved swimming with whale sharks. It really took my breath away having them 3 meters from me. All my trepidations about travel in Africa are gone. I am totally hooked on this continent: the landscape, the wildlife, the people, the history. I can’t wait to keep exploring Africa with “Rock My Adventure”. It was a trip of a lifetime for me and truly enriched me.”

Travel insurance is essential for ALL Rock My Adventure trips.

Your health and safety when travelling is of the utmost importance, so it is vital that you have travel insurance policy that covers you for your trip to Africa. Adequate travel insurance is a condition of your contract with us and you will not be able to join a trip without it.

You must be satisfied that your insurance fully covers all your personal requirements including cancellation charges, theft, medical expenses and repatriation in the event of accident or illness.

Your insurance should also cover you for any adventurous activities that you wish to do – this includes the ‘included’ activities on the tour and any ‘optional’ activities.

Please be aware that some hazardous activities such as (but not limited to) white water rafting on grade 5 rapids, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, safari walks, bungee jumping and sky diving may not be covered by all policies, so you may have to take out a higher level of cover.

Medical care is not free in Africa and even the cost of getting to hospital can be super expensive, so you need to be covered in case of a medical emergency, including air ambulance evacuation and repatriation in the event of accident or illness. For example, if your appendix bursts whilst we are in the Serengeti, you will need to be evacuated by helicopter to Nairobi. Without insurance you would need to pay for that out of your own pocket.

If you are bringing along any electrical equipment such as cameras and laptops, you should also ensure your insurance covers those items too. Some policies only have this as an add-on.

If you are travelling to an area that is subject to foreign office warnings, this may void your travel insurance, so you may need to take out an additional policy for the days you are in the danger zones.

Please always read the small print.

Your tour leader will collect your travel insurance details on the first day of your trip, so please have the following information ready for them:

  • Name of insurance provider.
  • Your policy number.
  • The telephone number to call in the event of an emergency.
  • Your next of kin name and number.

What are you waiting for?
