Each itinerary is handcrafted using real, on-the-ground experience – from the best season and routing, to carefully selected lodges, guides, and trusted local partners who deliver your safari on the ground.
Whether you’re adapting one of my signature routes or starting from scratch, you’ll get a clear, supported planning process and an itinerary designed around how you actually want to travel.
How It Works
1. Tell Me About Your Safari
Fill in a short safari planning form with your ideas, priorities, dates, and budget.
The more detail you share, the better I can tailor your trip.
I’ll review your enquiry and, if your plans are a good fit, I’ll be in touch to discuss next steps.
2. Initial Review & Next Steps
At this stage, a planning fee may be required before detailed itinerary design begins. This allows me to dedicate proper time to creating a bespoke safari tailored specifically to you.
3. I Design Your Safari Itinerary
Once the planning fee is confirmed, I design your safari itinerary from scratch – selecting the right destinations, routing, lodges, guides, and trusted local partners to deliver your trip on the ground.
Every itinerary is fully bespoke and based on real, on-the-ground experience.
4. Review & Refine
You’ll receive a tailored itinerary with clear options and pricing.
We’ll refine the details together until everything feels right – from the itinerary to activities to accommodation choices.
5. Confirm & Book
I remain your main point of contact during the planning process and as your trip approaches – answering questions, coordinating details, and ensuring everything is in place for a smooth experience.
Your safari is delivered on the ground by trusted local professionals, with support available should anything need clarifying along the way.
6. Support Before & During Your Trip
I remain your main point of contact throughout the planning process – reviewing details, answering questions, and supporting you as your trip approaches.
You benefit from my experience, alongside expert delivery on the ground by trusted local professionals.
Planning Fee
The planning fee is non-refundable, but fully credited towards your final booking should you decide to proceed.

I’ve been travelling across Africa for over 16 years, exploring East, Southern, and West Africa extensively and writing about it on my long-running travel blog, Helen in Wonderlust. Important Information
Rock My Adventure designs and arranges land-only African safari itineraries, working with carefully selected independent lodges, transport providers, and local safari operators who deliver services on the ground.
When you book a private trip, you are booking a land-based itinerary arranged by Rock My Adventure and delivered by third-party suppliers in their respective destinations. I take reasonable care in selecting trusted partners and coordinating your arrangements, but the day-to-day operation of your safari is the responsibility of those suppliers.
Flights
International and domestic flights are not included in any bookings and are not sold or arranged by Rock My Adventure. I’m happy to provide guidance on routes, airlines, and timings, and to coordinate your land arrangements around your chosen flights.
All accommodation, transport, activities, and guiding services are provided by independent third-party suppliers, each operating under their own local licences and insurances.
A planning fee may apply before detailed itinerary design begins. This fee is non-refundable but will be credited towards your final booking should you decide to proceed.
